Collaborative project with Luke Spiteri.

TIMELINE & TOOLS

“Bop at the Museum” was created for the JAUNT Portable Wireless Speaker as part of the Runway AI Ad Contest, built around the idea, “Give every moment its own soundtrack.”

The concept follows a museum janitor listening to his JAUNT speaker as the museum unexpectedly comes alive around him, transforming into a late-night rave spanning different eras of history. Working collaboratively, Luke and I developed the concept, wrote the script, storyboarded the commercial, designed each character and their wardrobe, and built the visual world of the museum through AI-generated imagery and video. We treated AI as a creative production tool, allowing us to develop a highly stylized world and experiment with visual ideas that would have been difficult to produce on a traditional low-budget set.

A major focus of the process was art direction and character development. Each character, costume, diorama, and environment was intentionally designed to feel cohesive while still reflecting its historical period. We also used audio-driven generation to synchronize character movement with the track’s BPM, making the music itself part of the visual choreography.
